An exhibition of our sketchbooks

Right take a deep breath!
Ohhhhhhh! I'm soooooooooooo excited!!!!!!!
Oh behave!

I have an announcement to make.

Ahem!

The library on the Belfast campus of the University of Ulster has agreed to exhibit our sketchbooks when they are finished!!!!!!!!

This is a long story, but this is how it goes. I was walking in to work (I work in the Textiles and Fashion Dept of the school of Art and Design based in the the Belfast campus of the University of Ulster.) one morning when I met the chief librarian.
Anyway Marion and I got chatting about how our summers were going and I mentioned that I was engaged in our moly exchange.
She was really interested and said,(God bless her wee cotton socks, I hope they turn to wool) that the library would love to display our sketchbooks.

Sooooooo, what do you all think?
Obviously, there is a bit to think about, timing etc. However, I thought that we should all have our original sketchbooks back around Christmas and if the exhibition was scheduled for, say February, we would have a month to enjoy our sketchbooks before they would be sent to Belfast for the show.

Please let me know what you think.
Best thoughts and regards
Lorraine.

I expected something like this to happen, and for me it would be a great honor.

As you may know, my health has been poor. The up side is there is recovery happening, and my show schedule is over, now. Woo Hooo!

I think I may dig myself out of my MEI slump by passing one on to Lindsay, and she could route it back to me and then I'd put it forward. Just thinking about that.

As I write, I am back in my studio office for the first time in almost 2 weeks! I think I'll go back to those rip roaring videos I posted so many weeks ago...

How wonderful! How exciting! I hope it works out ... It would be so nice to be able to see all your sketchbooks together, in person!

Well done our Lorraine!
You never know I may even be tempted into a first visit to Belfast to see it for myself!

Casey, I've been so worried about you. I have meant to mail you to suggest you pass on some Moleys if you're not able to work on them, but each tie I started to write, I couldn't find the words, and didn't want to add to any pressure you're under. You don't even need to get the current Moleys back, just wait til the circuit comes back round to you if you like. Love and hugs to you and yours.
Lorraine, I love the idea, and you're enthusiasm for it is splashing out of the screen, it's so evident.

That's great that you are starting to feel better :>)

and Lorraine - well done! that sounds great :>)

I'm very down at the moment as my father and husband are both very ill - so good news is very very welcome.

Casey, I didn't realise that you have been ill. But I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better. Look after yourself.

Vivien, I'm sorry to hear that your husband and father are ill. Hopefully things will look brighter for you all.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Lorraine.

Hi all - Kyoko and I have just returned from a week away camping in northern Maine and I'm just catching up on things now.

Casey, I hadn't realized that you haven't been well. I'm very sorry to hear this and am glad that you are recovering. Very best wishes for a speedy and complete recuperation. I'm glad to hear, too, that your busy recent schedule is lightening up now so that you can spend more time at home and in the studio while focusing on your health.

Vivien, I'm so sorry to hear about your father and husband and will be thinking positive thoughts for them and for you and the rest of your family.

Lorraine, thanks very much for this very good news. Like David, I might even make an effort to visit the exhibit in person (as you know, Kyoko and I are long overdue for a trip to Ireland).

I'm nearly done with my work in Casey's book and will send it on later this week to coincide with Lorraine's return from her vacation in Donegal. My contribution is very different than I had first expected after much thought about what freedom means to me on a very personal level. It's been a pleasure to work on and to be able to look back through the pages at Casey and Lindsay's work.

Wow, so much has happened since I went on vacation. I'm just starting to catch up on my reading. This is wonderful news! How exciting and it will be lots of fun.

Casey, I hope you are feeling better. So sorry to hear you have been struggling with health issues. I'd be happy to send books back to you or if you want to skip some, I'm sure that would be fine too. This is supposed to be fun not a burden.

Vivien, I hope you are not feeling pressured too. I'm so sorry to hear about your dad and your husband. Here is yet another cyber ((((hug))))
