Genesis Begins!

With the receipt of Steph.'s Genesis Moley, we truly have another great beginning in the world of Moleskine Exchanging! I was surprised to see her intricate drawing, so well thought out to encourage progress on her theme. Notice the tricky way that the name "Yahweh" is read both right side up, or upside down. She reminds me that this is an ideogram.

Very impressive order-from-chaos content, too. Now it's on me to follow up with something equally thoughtful.

My "Freedom!" themed Moleskine went out to Lindsay today. The old highway that used to traverse the north central USA, Highway 2, runs from about 8 miles south of me, all the way to Chicago. I visualize it getting to Lindsay straightaway!

Thanks, Casey. Fantastic photo, by the way. Now, what will you do with it?

Oh, my error, it's an ambigram, apparantly. Ideograms are symbols which express an idea. Ambigrams, also sometimes known as inversions, are graphical figures that spell out a word not only in its form as presented, but also in another direction or orientation. Did I write 'Ideogram' on the back of the Moley? I'm an idiot. Apols.

CAsey, your book arrived today! Friday. Beautiful. I'll post it asap!

You know, Steph., I looked up ideogram and it didn't 100% fit, but it does a little. Anyway, I couldn't find ambigram, either. So, you did - give yourself a brownie point!

You wrote it in your e-mail - not on the book.

Lindsay - wow! That semi truck really flew down Highway 2!!

Ideogram, ambigram, angiogram - life springs into being to the sound of an insistent beat. Genesis is formed and Phil Collins still has hair!
I'm going to follow this with Adam and Eve in the garden, me thinks!
