I now got one too...
... in the post, yesterday, arrived David's. The one where the theme gives me slight apprehension: people, not only people, but DANCING people.
And, look: what magnificient Tango his couples are doing. Oh dear... where to go - eh, sorry - dance from here?
Well... I'll be circling around it for a wee while. David, you just take your time with Lorraine's Garden - and I'm with you on the different uses of sketchbooks, and somehow, secretely, relieved, that your turn's before mine :P, I can then just follow on nicely with more sketchiness.

I agree this is a scary theme but those are gorgeous and look so much bigger than the tiny moley.
Only "slightly" apprehensive, Gesa? Don't worry you're in good hands with me - just keep your head up, don't look down at your feet and follow the music!
It's terrific - I'm not hearing either you or Vivien, even tho' it's scary, saying you won't take the floor with me (there's nothing like a 'knock-back' on the dancefloor to hurt a guy's ego!)
And Gesa, Lorraine's garden will be with me for a while; I've set out my recliner and with a glass of wine in hand am sitting back with my feet up and enjoying the view!
I should add that not only was this a great challenge for me working so small but it was the first time working on this type of paper. I wanted to work in dry pastels but felt that it would make an even bigger mess! So I used 'Neocolours' by Caran d'Ache which are water soluble pastels (although I never actually use them that way). Are these the same as 'Nu Colours' Lindsay?
I'm looking forward tothis as, though it's a theme I'd never have considered, there'll be three drawings in it by the time I receive it, so they'll give me plently of ideas. Only two days til I go away for a week so I'm leaving Vivien's Landscapes until I get back. Maybe I'll look at the alien landscapes on my holiday with a view to Vivien's Moley. I'm most excited about the stretch theme. I may go quite wild in it.
Very unique and colorful, David!
Looks great David, but like Vivien and Gesa, figures scare me, but dancing figures will have me hiding behind the sofa.
And yes, David that's exactly how I enjoy my garden, every garden needs a good lick of looking at.
This is really exciting. YOu have lots of movement and I'm already thinking of what I want to do in this little beauty.
Absolutely brilliant!
I haven't done much with people recently but have to say I'm looking forward to working on this a lot - already thinking about my composition even though I've got a long wait. Great work, David!
