S-T-R-E-T-C-H !!!

S-T-R-E-T-C-H
Strive for emotion
Take risks on each piece
Revisit, reassess, and rework
Embrace failure as well as success
Take, absorb, and incorporate feedback
Challenge personal habits and convention
Have an idea, then allow it to evolve on its own

So there's my theme - I'm doing a lot of the revisiting and reworking on my initial sketches but will have to "Let go" (too bad there's no "L" in "stretch") if I'm going to send them off to Lorraine anytime soon. Feel free to suggest an alternate phrase for a letter if you can think of something better. I think I'm going to stick to the basic black for my cover, although the covers others have made are wonderful.

I can only think of an on for h - have fun - I do crafts with the kids - finger painting, gluing & sticking, printing from bottle tops and stuff round the house, and loads of ideas have sprung from these activities. Not everything I do has to be a work of art.

See... this is what you get for taking your time: such a wonderful assemblage of words, and it even makes a very attractive line of words. I like the theme a lot. And made a promise to myself to take my time next time: that'll be part of my stretch :)

Oh I need a good stretch! I'm so looking forward to seeing your book, and stretching and extending my work.

funnily it was really appropriate to what I've done in Gesa's book

risk taking and working working working to make a silk purse out of what I was definitely turning into a sows ear! didn't make silk - but maybe cotton!
